"YELLOW RABBIT's ability to establish a cruel world, fuelled by racism from external and internalized sources, is better than some full-length feature films, which only highlights the abilities of writers Cheng, Aaron Jan, and Gloria Mok." - Broadway World

The second of Silk Bath Collective (Bessie Cheng, Aaron Jan and Gloria Mok's) creations.

Set under the glow of a nuclear wasteland, two contestants fight for a place in the Chinese-run sanctuary-city of Rich-Man Hill. What are we willing to sacrifice? Who are we willing to leave behind?

Yellow Rabbit premiered as a part of Soulpepper's 2018 and 2019 season in November 2018. Written by Bessie Cheng, Aaron Jan and Gloria Mok, it was directed by Jasmine Chen, dramaturged by Paula Wing and Andy Cheng and enjoyed a sold out run. It was stage managed by Lily Chan, Sound Designed by Miquelon Rodriguez, Set and Costume Designed by Jackie Chau, Lighting Designed by Jareth Li and Projection Designed by Zeesy Powers

Yellow Rabbit was made possible with three theatre project grants from the Ontario Arts Council, the National Theatre School, the Toronto Arts Council and Phase Two funding from the Michael Wuchien Than Foundation.
