DRUG HUGGERS / THE BATHTUB GIRLS

In 2017, I helped run a dramaturgy program called "Then Speak", where I incubated and dramaturged two projects - Drug Huggers by Maddie Bautista and Chris Cruz and The Bathtub Girls by Robin Luckwalt Ross and Natalia Bushnik.

 

Both had workshop performances at the Earnest Balmer Studio in April 2017.

 

The Bathtub Girls would continue to develop their play beyond Then Speak and toured successfully to Winnipeg and the United States, winning great praise for their work. The 2019 Toronto production received a 2020 Dora Mavor Moore Nomination for New Play in the Independent Division.
